In French with German surtitles Faust is searching – for himself, for the meaning of life. And love. Méphistophélès wants to help him in this. He accompanies him on an adventurous journey that leads first to Auerbach's cellar and then to Marguerite's bedroom. But the destination is different – ​​hell. As one of the first artists, following in the footsteps of Goethe, Berlioz dared to tackle the subject of Faust – and gave it his own twist. As the title suggests, this is not about the hero's salvation, but about his path to the underworld.
