Taro Morikawa

Taro Morikawa was born in Vienna and began his musical training studying violin with his father. In 2011 he enrolled at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (MDW) starting his Bachelor's degree in Vocal Performance. After being on stage as a singer performing roles like Zuniga ("Carmen") and Sarastro ("The Magic Flute") his interest to become a director was sparked and so he began his Diploma in Opera Direction at MDW in 2015. Additionally to his experience directing operas like "L 'enfant et les sortileges" (M. Ravel), "Cendrillon" (J.
