Samuele Lastrucci is a conductor specializing in historically informed interpretations, leader of the baroque ensemble I Musici del Gran Principe and director of the Medici history museum in Palazzo Sforza Almeni in Florence. His research work made him the protagonist of many early executions in modern times linked to Medici patronage. In 2019 he recorded (world premiere recording) the "Concerti Spirituali" op. III by Alessandro Melani for the Brilliant Classics® label. On 9 February 2022 he conducted the modern premiere of Jacopo Melani's "Ercole in Tebe" at the Teatro della Pergola in Florence. His interpretation of Giacomo Antonio Perti's music for the Grand Prince Ferdinando de' Medici deserved a mention in Alberto Bruschi's monograph on Cosimo III. Trained with M° Federico Maria Sarde
