Richard Sveda

The Slovakian baritone Richard Šveda studied in Bratislava and Graz. He won various prizes at international singing competitions. After a year in the opera studio of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Richard Šveda became a member of the permanent ensemble in 2010/11. His repertoire includes the Mozart roles Don Giovanni, Almaviva (“Le nozze di Figaro”), Papageno (“Die Zauberflöte”), Guglielmo (“Così fan tutte”), as well as roles such as Marcello / Schaunard (Puccini “La Boheme”), Sharpless (Puccini “Madama Butterfly”), Eugene Onegin (Tchaikovsky), Albert (Massenet “Werther”), Lord Cecil (Donizetti “Maria Stuarda”), Silvio (Leoncavallo “Pagliacci”), Malatesta (Donizetti “Don Pasquale”), Herr Fluth (Nicolai “The Merry Wives of Windsor”), Lionel (Tchaikovsky „The Maid of Orleans“), Peter (Humperdin
