Biography
Young Swiss Tenor Remy Burnens is finding regular success on the opera and concert stages across Switzerland and Germany. Often praised for his exhilarating coloratura, his velvety timbre and immaculate diction, he feels equally at ease in the world of opera, oratorio and lied. He studied voice with Peter Brechbühler in Lucerne and Malcolm Walker in Paris. Masterclasses with Raul Giménez, Filippo Morace, Stefania Bonfadelli furthered his musical education. Quickly turning into one of the most sought-after specialists of Rossini and Mozart in his native Switzerland and abroad, he has performed roles such as Tonio, Elvino, Belmonte, Ferrando, Nemorino, and Beppe (Rita) He is a two-time participant of BelCanto Festival Rossini Bad Wildbad, where he sang the roles of Gernando in Garcia’s L’is
