She won in 1995 the Grand Prix du Concours International de Marmande as well as the Masters of French Chant in Paris the same year. Qiu Lin Zhang sang Maddalena in Rigoletto in Rennes, Sesto in La Clemenza di Tito and Susuki in Madama Butterfly in Saint-Etienne and Marseille, Carmen at the Festival in Hong Kong with the Orchestra National de Lille, Ute in Happy Nibelungen by Oscar Straus in Caen.
