Vincent Dumestre et son ensemble Le Poème Harmonique nous entraînent dans la Naples du XVIIIe siècle. Ils recréent l’effervescence des processions pour la fête de la Vierge en associant au théâtral et touchant Stabat Mater de Pergolèse, achevé quelques mois avant la mort du compositeur, des traditions orales selon les coutumes de l’époque et le concerto d’un autre Napolitain, Francesco Durante.

Ce concert est produit par le Département des Hauts-de-Seine et Insula orchestra.

Vincent Dumestre and his ensemble Le Poème Harmonique take us to 18th century Naples. They recreate the effervescence of processions for the feast of the Virgin by combining the theatrical and touching Stabat Mater  by Pergolesi, completed a few months before the composer's death, oral traditions according to the customs of the time and the concerto by another Neapolitan, Francesco Durante.
