Deze keer speelt werk van Puccini de hoofdrol in deze concertreeks. Hoogtepunten uit onder meer Tosca, Turandot, Manon Lescaut en La Bohème komen voorbij. Tevens staan bekende tijdgenoten van Puccini op het programma, zoals Mascagni (met het Paaskoor) en Leoncavallo (met Pagliacci). Het Opera Gala is een ‘must’ voor liefhebbers van klassieke muziek. Vorig jaar waren alle concerten volledig uitverkocht, dus tijdig reserveren is raadzaam.

During a spectacular Opera Gala in the Concertgebouw, the most beautiful arias, duets and opera choirs from music history take center stage. This time, work by Puccini plays the leading role in this concert series. Highlights from Tosca , Turandot , Manon Lescaut and La Bohème are featured. The program also includes well-known contemporaries of Puccini, such as Mascagni (with the Easter Choir) and Leoncavallo (with Pagliacci). The Opera Gala is a 'must' for classical music lovers. Last year all concerts were completely sold out, so booking in advance is advisable.
