Mefistofele est une grandiose adaptation de la célèbre tragédie de Goethe, composée par celui qui fut non seulement le plus brillant librettiste de Verdi, mais un poète subtil et un compositeur de génie. Cette vaste fresque tragicomique, où les choeurs ont une importance considérable, est donnée pour la première fois en italien au Capitole. Ce rare monument de l’art lyrique est magnifié par une distribution prestigieuse où brillent Béatrice Uria-Monzon, Jean-François Borras et Nicolas Courjal.
