Practical stage reconstruction of the music by Henning Hagedorn and Matthias Grimminger

Paul Abraham's operetta, which premiered in Vienna in 1934, was designed by the librettists as a parody of the genre: they constantly flirted with differences in status - and then the couples found each other at the end. The royal highnesses perform waltz songs with Hungarian flair, while the young American director celebrates the foxtrot, which was particularly popular at the time. There is also a romantic slow fox and tango. Numerous jazz elements and a vocal quartet ensure a lively sound and an entertaining evening with a guaranteed happy ending.
