Fine art meets music: Our popular song concert series in the Modern Gallery is back! Spread over the entire season, our ensemble members bring the museum to life.

The special? The programs are put together by the singers themselves and according to their preferences. The originality of these concert formats does not lie solely in the choice of location, but in particular in the respective program, which can perhaps also be understood as a kind of (self-)portrait.

Pauliina Linnosaari is the first to do so: she has already inspired audiences as »Mathilde« in Rossini's »Guillaume Tell«, as Strauss' »Salome« or as Puccini's »Mimí«, to name just a small selection. In the past season she shone as Leonora in Verdi's »Il Trovatore« and testified to her special comedic talent as Kathi in »Weißes Rössl«.

In her song matinee she has completely different melodies in store, including those from her native Finland. Mournfully beautiful songs by Einojuhani Rautavaara , who had a decisive influence on the music of the far north.
She also has a special connection to the music of Richard Strauss , whose »Four Last Songs« she will also interpret.

She accompanies Antonio Grimaldi on the piano. If you can't get enough of Pauliina Linnosaari, you can also experience her as Ariadne in »Ariadne auf Naxos« on the stage of the Saarländisches Staatstheater.
