Tokie atsiliepimai lydėjo vieno sėkmingiausių LNOBT spektaklių, Fr. Halevy operos „Žydė“ premjerą mūsų teatre 2004 metais. Ir iš tiesų – „Žydė“ tapo labiausiai geidžiama opera LNOBT gastrolėse, su didžiule sėkme rodyta trijuose tarptautiniuose festivaliuose Vengrijoje, Lenkijoje ir Slovėnijoje. Tas pats pastatymas sulaukė premjeros ir Geteborgo teatre, kuriame visus spektaklius Eudoksijos vaidmenį dainavo mūsų sopranas Regina Šilinskaitė. Laikas bėgo, daug kas šią operą žiūrėjo net po keletą kartų... Ir štai, po penkerių metų tylos Fr. Halevy operos „Žydė“ spektaklis su nauja energija grįžta į LNOBT sceną. Tas pats nuostabus spektaklis, ta pati nemirštanti Fr. Halevy muzika – nauji atlikėjai, nauji įspūdžiai, naujos emocijos.

With this production of "La juive", the Lithuanian National Opera has achieved a musical triumph in its repertoire, and the production itself is a world-class work that would be expected in theatres of both Berlin and Vienna.

Such feedback has accompanied one of LNOBT’s most successful productions, J. Fr. Halevy's opera "La juive". Having premiered at our theatre in 2004, it became one of the most outstanding performances in our repertoire, filled with artistic allure and generating highest impact. It was also the last opera staged by maestro Jonas Aleksa, one of the most famous Lithuanian conductors. And indeed, "La juive" has become the most coveted opera on LNOBT’s tours, and has been shown with great success at three international festivals in Hungary, Poland and Slovenia. The opera was recorded and released on DVD, which has now become a bibliographic rarity. The same production also premiered at the Gothenburg Theatre, where our soprano Regina Šilinskaitė sang the role of Eudoxie in all performances.  Time passed, many people watched this opera, some of them even a few times ... And behold, after years of silence, Fr.  Halevy's opera "La juive" returns to the LNOBT with new energy. The same wonderful production, the same immortal Fr.  Halevy's music; but a new edition by the director, new artists, new impressions, new emotions.

“La juive” made its composer Jacques Fromental Halévy famous throughout Europe, bringing him fame and immortality. It was produced in Lithuania in 1927, and lasted in the repertoire until 1940. Undeservedly banished from European stages in the aftermath of the Second World War, in recent years it has been restored to life along with the great masterpieces of the19th-century French opera, such as Gounod’s “Faust”, Bizet’s “Carmen” and others, and has captivated the audiences ever since with its fabulous melodies, sumptuous staging and the universal themes of love and hatred, hope and desperation.
