La cenerentola or La bontà in triumph made its debut at the Teatro Valle in Rome in 1817 and not many years later, in 1831, it arrived in Sardinia, both at the Civic Theater of Sassari and in Cagliari. The subject is taken from Perrault's fable while for the music Rossini "stole" from himself the symphony of the Gazzetta and some other parts from previous works. The direction returns to the hands of the Sassari Gianni Marras, already in his city the previous year for La pietra del paragone. With him, the mezzo-soprano Daniela Pini, in the role of the protagonist, and the Cagliari-based Francesca Pierpaoli (Thisbe) return to Sassari. Another Sassari, Antonio Vincenzo Serra (Dandini), made his debut in this opera after winning, in March 2008, the prize for best singer among the finalists of the 'European Community' competition in Spoleto. To report the success of the scenes and, in particular, of the costumes designed by Luisella Pintus, made with poor materials but of absolute impact.

La cenerentola o La bontà in trionfo debuttò al Teatro Valle di Roma nel 1817 e non molti anni più tardi, nel 1831, arrivò in Sardegna, sia al Teatro Civico di Sassari che a Cagliari. Il soggetto è tratto dalla favola di Perrault mentre per le musiche Rossini "rubò" a se stesso la sinfonia della Gazzetta e alcune altre parti da opere precedenti. La regia torna nelle mani del sassarese Gianni Marras, già nella sua città l'anno precedente per La pietra del paragone. Con lui, tornano a Sassari il mezzosoprano Daniela Pini, nel ruolo della protagonista, e la cagliaritana Francesca Pierpaoli (Tisbe). Un altro sassarese, Antonio Vincenzo Serra (Dandini), debutta in quest'opera dopo aver vinto, a marzo del 2008, il premio come miglior cantante tra i finalisti del concorso 'Comunità Europea' a Spoleto. Da segnalare il successo delle scene e, in particolare, dei costumi studiati da Luisella Pintus, realizzati con materiali poveri ma di assoluto impatto.
