Rasant geht es zu im Jugendtreff „An der Windmühle“ - und nun soll er abgerissen werden. Hier treffen sich Ariana und Bernd, um dem Immobilienhai die Stirn zu bieten und für das Gute in der Welt zu kämpfen…

In ihrem neuen Opernmusical GEGEN DEN WIND oder: Don Quichotte ist überall greifen Gabriele Pott (Musik) und Birgit Kronshage die Themen der Jugend auf, die Suche nach ihrer Identität und ihre Fragen nach Zukunft und Selbstverwirklichung. Die Hauptfigur Ariana lebt in der Welt ihrer Bücher - eine Kriegerin will sie sein und sich ohne Furcht für das Gute einsetzen. Ihr Einsatz entpuppt sich allerdings als ein Kampf gegen Windmühlen, der zudem auch noch richtig gefährlich wird… GEGEN DEN WIND nimmt die alte Geschichte von Don Quichotte neu auf und ist ein Stück über die Erkenntnis, dass wir in einem Ozean von Möglichkeiten unsere Realität selbst schaffen.

Mit musikdramatischen Mitteln wird die spannende Geschichte zeitgemäß, lebendig und voller Überraschungen erzählt. Gesang, Tanz, Schauspiel und Musik werden in einem durchgängigen Handlungsrahmen verbunden und aufwendig in Szene gesetzt, neben melancholischen Arien der Hauptakteure gibt es große Chöre zu hören und zu sehen. Dabei gibt die junge Sopranistin Anna-Maria Koßbau in der Rolle der Ariana ihr Debüt als Hauptdarstellerin.

GEGEN DEN WIND wird somit zu einer Erlebnisaufführung für die ganze Familie!

Neben dem jungen Solisten-Team und dem professionellen Orchester stehen wieder 40 Kinder und Jugendliche als Hauptakteure auf der Bühne, die zuvor im Theatercamp geschult werden.

Things are happening rapidly at the youth club "At the Windmill" - and now it's slated for demolition. Here, Ariana and Bernd meet to stand up to the real estate tycoon and fight for the good in the world...

In their new opera musical AGAINST THE WIND or: Don Quixote is Everywhere, Gabriele Pott (music) and Birgit Kronshage tackle the themes of youth, the search for identity, and questions about the future and self-realization. The main character Ariana lives in the world of her books - she wants to be a warrior and fearlessly advocate for the good. However, her endeavor turns out to be a battle against windmills, which also becomes quite dangerous... AGAINST THE WIND reimagines the old story of Don Quixote and is a piece about the realization that we create our own reality in an ocean of possibilities.

Using music and drama, the exciting story is told in a contemporary, lively, and surprising manner. Singing, dancing, acting, and music are seamlessly integrated into a cohesive framework and elaborately staged; in addition to the melancholic arias of the main characters, there are also grand choruses to be heard and seen. The young soprano Anna-Maria Koßbau makes her debut as the lead actress in the role of Ariana.

AGAINST THE WIND thus becomes a performance experience for the whole family!

In addition to the young soloist team and the professional orchestra, 40 children and teenagers once again take center stage as main actors, having been trained in the theater camp beforehand.
