Strange things are happening in the lobby of HOTEL HEAVEN. At  five in the morning  , three guests meet unexpectedly and by chance, but is there such a thing as a coincidence? While the internationally sought-after brain specialist Prof. Feininger encounters a "light seer" named Blanche while checking out, the young journalist Raquel is stuck in the elevator. Hardly freed is clear: this elevator has it all. Above all, a dead man who falls into the lobby with a glaring light and Bach sounds. What is it about this dead man who transforms the night and sends a clueless doorman and his guests into surreal dreams, encounters, longings and fears? Is this dead man a fallen angel, a Lucifer, or the devil, as the cantatas say?  

Thus begins an erratic game that brings all four nocturnal figures to their personal limits, where the big questions of meaning, faith, death, transience and futility lurk - mirrored, played around and commented on by the timeless   music and deep spirituality of Johann Sebastian's cantatas stream. And since these questions affect us all, the night at the hotel also invites your theater guests to sing along (of course only if you want to). 

In the end, everyone finds themselves back in the same place...   at the same time at five o'clock in the morning. Only now nobody is like before.

Seltsame Dinge ereignen sich in der Lobby des HOTEL HEAVEN. Nachts um fünf treffen drei Gäste unverhofft und zufällig aufeinander, aber gibt es das: Zufall? Während der international gefragte Hirnspezialist Prof. Feininger beim Auschecken an eine „Lichtseherin“ namens Blanche gerät, steckt die junge Journalistin Raquel im Fahrstuhl fest. Kaum befreit wird klar: dieser Fahrstuhl hat es in sich. Vor allem einen Toten, er mit gleißendem Licht und Bachschen Klängen in die Lobby fällt. Was hat es mit diesem Toten auf sich, der die Nacht verwandelt und einen ratlosen Portier und seine Gäste in surreale Träume, Begegnungen, Sehnsüchte und Ängste schickt? Ist dieser Tote ein gefallener Engel, ein Luzifer oder der Teufel, wie es in den Kantaten heißt? 

So beginnt ein erratisches Spiel, das alle vier Nachtgestalten an persönliche Grenzen bringt, an denen die großen Fragen nach Sinn, Glauben, Tod, Vergänglich- und Vergeblichkeit lauern –  gespiegelt, umspielt und kommentiert durch die zeitlose Musik und tiefe Spiritualität der Kantaten von Johann Sebastian Bach. Und da diese Fragen uns alle berühren, lädt die Nacht im Hotel auch ihre Theatergäste zum Mitsingen sein (natürlich nur, wer will). 

Am Ende finden sich alle wieder am gleichen Ort…  zu gleicher Zeit um fünf Uhr nachts. Nur ist jetzt niemand wie zuvor.
