If every note of the divine Mozart deserves to be heard, his Symphonie concertante is among his most admirable masterpieces. By turns energetic and elegiac, they are a world in themselves, expressing the joys and sorrows of the human heart. This astonishingly modern work in both form and content will give us the chance to hear our two super-soloists Věra Nováková and Magali Prévot shine. A full century later, Mahler was also exploring the depths of the human soul, but with different orchestral means: his first symphony is a manifesto in which the symphony orchestra becomes a vast fresco whose ambitions are clearly expressed by its nickname, Titan !

Si chaque note du divin Mozart mérite d’être entendue, sa Symphonie concertante fait partie de ses plus admirables chefs-d’œuvre. Pages tour à tour énergiques et élégiaques, elles sont un monde en soi, où se disent les joies et les peines du cœur des hommes. Cette œuvre étonnamment moderne dans son fonds comme dans sa forme nous donnera l’occasion d’entendre briller nos deux super-solistes Věra Nováková et Magali Prévot. Un gros siècle plus tard, Mahler explorait lui aussi les tréfonds de l’âme humaine, mais avec d’autres moyens orchestraux.Sa première symphonie est d’ailleurs un manifeste : l’orchestre symphonique devient avec lui une vaste fresque dont le surnom, Titan, dit assez clairement les ambitions !
