It is an original combination of the music of Antonio Vivaldi and Giovanni Battista Pergolesi with elements of acting, stage movement composition, original costume and set design. The show delights with expressive and beautiful in its simplicity sacred music, full of lyricism and emotionality, characteristic of the 18th-century Neapolitan opera school. Stabat Mater is one of the medieval prayer sequences, dating from the 13th century, attributed to the Franciscans Jacop da Todi or St. Benedict. The melody is derived from Gregorian chant and is the basis for several musical masterpieces. These include the Stabat Mater of Antonio Vivaldi and Giovanni Battista Pergolesi. Both works date back to the first half of the 18th century (from 1727 the sequence was officially included in the liturgy by the decision of the church authorities). Jacek Chodorowski
