In der Philharmonischen Akademie 2022 legen Generalmusikdirektor Kent Nagano und sein Orchester einen besonderen Schwerpunkt auf Musik von Arvo Pärt. Der 86-jährige estnische Künstler zählt zu den bedeutendsten Komponisten der Gegenwart. In der Hamburger Hauptkirche St. Michaelis widmen ihm Nagano und die Philharmoniker drei Konzerte im Rahmen der Philharmonischen Akademie und kontrastieren Pärts Klangsprache mit weiteren zeitgenössischen Kompositionen sowie Musik von J. S. Bach. Neben Uraufführungen der Hamburger Komponisten Peter Ruzicka und Elmar Lampson sind die Japanerin Misato Mochizuki und der Franzose Jean-Baptiste Barrière mit elektroakustischen neuen Werken vertreten. Unterstützt wird das Philharmonische Staatsorchester dabei vom legendären Pariser IRCAM.

In the Philharmonic Academy 2022, General Music Director Kent Nagano and his orchestra will place a special focus on music by Arvo Pärt. The 86-year-old Estonian artist is one of the most important contemporary composers. In Hamburg's main church of St. Michaelis, Nagano and the Philharmoniker dedicate three concerts to him as part of the Philharmonic Academy and contrast Pärt's tonal language with other contemporary compositions and music by J. S. Bach. In addition to world premieres by the Hamburg composers Peter Ruzicka and Elmar Lampson, the Japanese Misato Mochizuki and the French Jean-Baptiste Barrière are represented with new electro-acoustic works. The Philharmonic State Orchestra is supported by the legendary Paris IRCAM.
