Conducting a lot of symphony concerts, he is renowned after all as an opera conductor. From his debut in year 2000 with Madama Butterfly he works permanently in Mariinsky Theater (Saint Petersburg). From year 2013 he is also Chef Conductor in Music Theater of Karelia Republic in Petrozavodsk. Among others Mikhail Sinkevich conducted such operas as Eugene Onegin, Pique Dame, Mazeppa, Iolanta and Oprichnik by Tchaikovsky, Boris Godunov and Khovantschina by Mussorgsky, Maid of Pskov, Sadko and Tsars Bride by Rimsky-Korsakov, Prince Igor by Borodin, Life for the Tsar and Ruslan and Lyudmila by Glinka, Franceska da Rimini by Rachmaninov Macbeth, Nabucco, La Traviat
