Menila Moineaux
Menila is an emerging Burmese-Australian opera director, currently based in Italy. She completed a Bachelor of Music Studies with First Class Honours at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in 2017, on full scholarship, and is pursuing a Masters in Opera Directing at the Verona Accademia per l'Opera Italiana in 2022, generously supported by the Rose Mandelbaum Travelling Scholarship.
As a performer, Menila’s stage highlights included Bernstein’s MASS at the Sydney Opera House, Haydn’s Orfeo ed Euridice under the baton of Richard Bonynge, several regional outreach tours, and four years with the Conservatorium Chamber Choir under the directorship of Dr Neil McEwan.
