Biography
Magali Simard-Galdès is a young Canadian soprano renowned for her shimmering tone, her refined musicality and her magnetic stage presence. This season, Magali will sing with I Musici de Montréal ( Dixit dominus, RV 807 - Vivaldi), ECM + ( Bonhomme de chemin - Gonneville), Harmonie des seasons ( The Messiah - Händel) and Tionscadal na nAmhrán Ealaíne Gaeilge / Irish Language Art Song Project at the Dublin National Concert Hall. She will also be featured as Agnès in Benjamin's Written on Skin with Opéra de Montréal, and will return to Opéra de Québec in La Chauve-Souris (Adele). In past seasons, she has sung with Opera Carolina in Rigoletto (Gilda) and DiChiera's Cyrano (Roxane), with Canadian Stage and Vancouver Opera in the world premiere of The Overcoat (Mad Chorus), with Opéra de Montr
