Lukas Johan

The Austro-American baritone Lukas Johan was born in Raleigh/North Carolina and grew up in Vienna where at a young age he begins to study piano at the Vienna Conservatory. Through playing the piano he finds his way to classical singing and starts studying in Vienna where he later sings his first opera roles at the Vienna International Opera Academy. Besides focusing on Lied recitals such as Schuberts die Winterreise, die Schöne Müllerin or Schumanns Op. 39 and Op. 24 and many others in 2016 he sings the title role in Mozart’s Don Giovanni at the Schlosstheater Schönbrunn which opens up his way towards opera and leads to a very active concert activity.
