Ksenia Popova

Ksenia Popova, soprano, has been praised as &ldquoa young soprano to watch” (The News Tribune).  Most recently, Ms. Popova made both a role and company debut with Skagit Opera as Gretel in Hansel and Gretel. In the 2015 season, she debuted the role of Juliette in Roméo et Juliette with Tacoma Opera, for which she was hailed as “a perfect blend of childish enthusiasm and regal composure, singing with a rich, glittery soprano and real conviction.” Previous roles include Josephine in H.M.S Pinafore with Tacoma Opera, Adele in Die Fledermaus with Vashon Opera, Queen of the Night and First Lady in Portland Opera’s outreach tour of The Magic Flute, and Musetta in La Bohème with Vespertine Opera.
