Biography
The soprano Franziska Giesemann, born in Blankenburg (Harz), has been studying in the singing class of Prof. Gudrun Pelker and the lied class of Prof. Jan Phillip Schulze since 2016. She completed her master’s examination in opera singing with top marks. She has already appeared in various roles in university productions in Detmold and Hanover. These include, among others, Konstanze in Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Tatjana in Eugen Onegin, 1st Lady in The Magic Flute or the leading role in the German premiere of the modern chamber opera Svadba by Ana Sokolovic. Supported by the Edelhof Ricklingen Foundation, she played various roles at the Hanoverian open-air festival Opera in the Country from 2017-2020. Among other things, she was able to celebrate her debut there as Violetta at an opera
