Biography
Hailed for her “enchantingly smooth mezzo” and “captivating” stage presence", American mezzo-soprano EMILY LORINI is enjoying an exciting and diverse operatic career. She begins the 2022/23 Season at Landestheater Coburg making her debut as Marguerite in La damnation de Faust directed by Neil Barry Moss and conducted by General Music Director, Daniel Carter. Ms. Lorini was praised by BR Klassik for her “deeply moving” portrayal as Marguerite. This season she also sings Rossweisse in Die Walküre, Mother Goose in The Rake's Progress, and Alisa in Lucia di Lammermoor. In the 2021/22 Season at Landestheater Coburg she made several successful role debuts, including Dorabella in Così fan tutte, Concepcion in L'heure espagnole, the Shepherd/Cat/Squirrel in L'enfant et les sortilèges, Bradamante
