Biography
Argentinian mezzo-soprano Cecilia Amancay Pastawski was born in Santa Fe, Argentina. She completed her Licenciatura in Musical Arts (MPA) at the National University of Arts in Buenos Aires and graduated from the Opera Studio of the Teatro Argentino de La Plata. She has recently finished an Opera masters at the Higher Institute of Arts Teatro Colon (ISATC). She was granted important scholarships from the Mozarteum Argentino in 2013/2014 and from the National Foundation of Arts. She has participated in masterclasses and courses by Joyce DiDonato, Raul Gimenez, Silvia Getszy, Wolfgang Scheidt, Gabriel Garrido, Alicia Nafé and Bernarda Fink. She was finalist in the contest “Neue Stimmen 2013” and "Hans Gabor Belvedere 2016" She won “Competition in Argentinian Art Song Argentmúsica Fou
