Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, Amiram Ganz started his solo career at age eleven, after placing first in a national violin performance competition. He later studied at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, where he met Alexander Paley. Mr. Ganz and Mr. Paley have performed together all over the world, interpreting the primary repertoire of violin and piano sonatas by composers including Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Bartók, Prokofiev, and Shostakovich. Amiram Ganz’s honors in international competitions include the Long-Thibaud-Crespin in Paris and the ARD in Munich. He has served as first concert-master of Strasbourg Philharmonic Orchestra.
