Adam Wilson

Adam was appointed Assistant Organist of York Minster in September 2023. He assists both Robert Sharpe (Director of Music) and Ben Morris (Assistant DoM) in playing for the Cathedral’s daily schedule of services and accompanying the Cathedral Choir. He also assists by regularly rehearsing the choristers of the choir and conducting services, as well as sharing in the administrative responsibilities of the Minster’s Music Department. Prior to moving to York, Adam was Acting Assistant Director of Music at Wells Cathedral from January 2023, having been Assistant Organist from September 2021. In this role, he was the principal Organist to the acclaimed Wells Cathedral Choir, which was hailed by an international jury from Gramophone magazine as the greatest choir with children in the world, and
