A concert in Berlin featuring the new bel canto tenor Valdemar Villadsen. 

Danish tenor Valdemar Villadsen has appeared in venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, Berliner Philharmonie, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Royal Danish Opera, Wiesbaden State Opera, Kiel Opera House, Teatro Principal de Burgos, Rossini Festival, Musikfestspiele Potsdam Sanssouci, Heinrich Schütz Musikfest, Festival de Música Antigua, Bergen International Festival, Copenhagen Opera Festival and Internationale Maifestspiele Wiesbaden. He has performed acclaimed solo recitals in Paris, Rome, Istanbul, Berlin and Basel.

For large parts of his career, Villadsen has been focusing on baroque music, but in recent years he has caused a sensation within the bel canto repertoire. And last year, he appeared as Gualtiero in Open Air Opera Berlin's production of Bellini's opera IL PIRATA. In this upcoming concert he will sing operatic bel canto arias by Rossini, Bellini and Donizetti.
