A Raposinha Astuta , by the Czech composer Leoš Janáček (1854-1928), opens in July at Theatro São Pedro. The opera in three acts has a libretto by the composer himself based on the novel Liška Bystrouška, by Rudolf Těsnohlídek. The montage will be staged in the original language.

The performances take place on the 21st, 23rd, 26th, 28th and 30th of July and the 2nd, 4th and 6th of August.

The unprecedented production has musical direction by Ira Levin, conception, staging and costumes by André Heller-Lopes, scenography by Renato Theobaldo and lighting by Fábio Retti. In the cast Vinicius Atique (Forest Guard), Carla Caramujo (Little Fox and Young Fox), Denise de Freitas (Raposo), Giovanni Tristacci (Professor/Mosquito), Gustavo Lassen, (Harasta, the bird hunter) and Saulo Javan (Father/ Texugo), among others.

No elenco  Vinicius Atique (Guarda Florestal), Carla Caramujo (Raposinha e raposinha jovem), Denise de Freitas (Raposo), Giovanni Tristacci (Professor/Mosquito), Gustavo Lassen, (Harasta, o caçador de aves) e Saulo Javan (Padre/Texugo), entre outros.
