Conductor Derrick Inouye, who is active worldwide in the fields of concerts and opera, will appear in regular performances for the first time in six years. This is a gem of a French program typical of Inouye from Canada, which adopts a bilingual system of English and French. "Port of Call" is a masterpiece full of tropical atmosphere by Ibert, a composer who has experience as a naval officer. Expectations are high for international violinist Kyoko Takezawa's solo performance in Lalo's representative work, "Symphony Spain". And from the work of Poulenc, who was a genuine Parisian and said that "a monk and a brat live together", the religious song "Gloria". Enjoy the gorgeous sound of soprano solo, chorus and orchestra!
