These three know each other intimately and love nothing more than chamber music. So here they are once again reunited for Schubert's two piano trios. These are two late works in the production of the musician but which naturally joined in the Pantheon of this formation those of Beethoven, Schumann and Brahms. If the piano takes over the entire range of the keyboard, giving it the role of a luminous guideline, the source of lyrical expression has been entrusted to the cello. Schubert's universe is there in its entirety: light, dark, tender, tormented, fundamental in the confrontation of its extremes.

Ces trois-là se connaissent intimement et n’aiment rien davantage que l’exercice chambriste. Les voilà donc une nouvelle fois réunis pour les deux trios pour piano de Schubert. Ce sont deux œuvres tardives dans la production du musicien mais qui ont rejoint tout naturellement au Panthéon de cette formation celles de Beethoven, Schumann et Brahms. Si le piano s’empare de la totalité de l’étendue du clavier, lui conférant un rôle de fil conducteur lumineux, a été confié au violoncelle la source de l’expression lyrique. L’univers de Schubert est là tout entier : clair, obscur, tendre, tourmenté, fondamental dans la confrontation de ses extrêmes.
