The Lower Bavarian Philharmonic accompanies us through the changing seasons with a varied concert program.

 

Two well-known works will be heard in the "Spring Symphony Concert": Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Symphony No. 39 (E flat major) is a wistful, romantic piece that was long nicknamed "Swan Song" because it was mistaken for Mozart's last symphony.

 

The selection of the second work of the evening cannot deny a political connection to the present: Jean Sibelius' second symphony (D major) bears witness to the Nordic composer's deep connection to nature. On the other hand, in the composer's Finnish homeland it was associated with the country's struggle for independence from Russia and was called the "Symphony of Independence".

Durch die wechselnden Jahreszeiten begleitet uns die Niederbayerische Philharmonie mit einem abwechslungsreichen Konzertprogramm.

 

Im "Sinfoniekonzert im Frühjahr" erklingen zwei hochberühmte Werke: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozarts Sinfonie Nr. 39 (Es-Dur) ist ein wehmütig-romantisches Stück, das lange den Beinamen "Schwanengesang" trug, weil es fälschlicherweise für Mozarts letzte Sinfonie gehalten wurde.

 

Die Auswahl des zweiten Werkes des Abends kann einen politischen Bezug zur Gegenwart nicht verleugnen: Jean Sibelius'  zweite Sinfonie (D-Dur) zeugt zum einen von der tiefen Naturverbundenheit des nordischen Komponisten. Zum anderen wurde sie in der finnischen Heimat des Komponisten mit dem Kampf des Landes um seine Unabhängigkeit von Russland verbunden und "Sinfonie der Unabhängigkeit" genannt.
