Novaya Opera presents Konstantin Boyarsky's opera "Pushkin". The world premiere of the opera in a concert performance took place on February 4, 2017 as part of the Epiphany Festival at the Novaya Opera, the world premiere of the stage version by Igor Ushakov took place on July 11 and 12, 2018 at the Grange Park Opera (UK).

The opera tells about the dramatic pages of the life of A.S. Pushkin and his death. This is the story of two powerful personalities - the national poet of Russia and the Russian Emperor Nicholas I. Their relationship begins with mutual admiration and mutual dependence.

The creators of the opera are deeply connected with Russian culture. Composer Konstantin Boyarsky was born and spent his childhood in Moscow, studied at the Central Music School at the Moscow State Conservatory named after
P.I. Tchaikovsky. As a composer, he has a number of instrumental works and arrangements, two ballets (“Sleepers”, “Children of War”), the opera “Pushkin”, as well as chamber music. K. Boyarsky is the leading violist of the Royal Opera Covent Garden Orchestra. Original English libretto by Marita Phillips– great-great-great-granddaughter of the three main characters of the opera: Alexander Pushkin, his wife Natalia and Emperor Nicholas I. In 1999, she headed the British Committee on the occasion of the celebration of the 200th anniversary of Pushkin, within which more than two hundred events were held in the UK.
Marita is the author of the children's book "Dream Seller", lyrics, musical script.

Новая Опера представляет оперу Константина Боярского «Пушкин». Мировая премьера оперы в концертном исполнении прошла 4 февраля 2017 года в рамках Крещенского фестиваля в Новой Опере, мировая премьера сценической версии Игоря Ушакова – 11 и 12 июля 2018 года в Grange Park Opera (Великобритания).

Опера повествует о драматических страницах жизни А.С. Пушкина и его смерти. Это история двух могущественных личностей – национального поэта России и российского императора Николая I. Их отношения начинаются с взаимного восхищения и обоюдной зависимости.

Создатели оперы глубоко связаны с русской культурой. Композитор Константин Боярский родился и провел детство в Москве, учился в Центральной музыкальной школе при Московской государственной консерватории имени
П.И. Чайковского. На его счету как композитора ряд инструментальных произведений и аранжировок, два балета («Шпалы», «Дети войны»),опера «Пушкин», а также камерная музыка. К. Боярский – ведущий альтист оркестра Королевской оперы Ковент-Гарден. Автор оригинального английского либретто Марита Филлипс – прапраправнучка трех главных персонажей оперы: Александра Пушкина, его жены Натальи и императора Николая I. В 1999 году она возглавляла Британский комитет по случаю празднования 200-летия Пушкина, в рамках которого в Великобритании было проведено более двухсот мероприятий.
Марита – автор детской книги «Продавец мечты», текстов песен, сценария мюзикла.
