An unmissable concert that of November 2, 2021 in homage to Giovanni Pacini at the Badia di Sant'Agata for the XIII current edition of the BELLINI FESTIVAL, because after years of oblivion the work and the figure of the other great is finally rediscovered and re-evaluated composer born in Catania, to whom monuments and streets are dedicated, including one of the main gardens of the city.A long-awaited project among the events scheduled for the thirteenth edition of the Bellini Festival 2021 in Catania. A Kermesse, conceived by the director and artistic director Enrico Castiglione as far back as 2008, dedicated to the Swan from Catania with a succession of internationally renowned artists. Within the Bellini review, we will pay homage to Giovanni Pacini a prolific composer also from Catania and often remembered for some biographical events that intertwine with those of Bellini, with arias and duets taken from Saffo, Niobe, The last day of Pompeii, The Queen of Cyprus, The Jewess (first performance in modern times). In addition, piano pieces dedicated to the composers of Catania by F. Liszt will be performed with the " Grande Fantasia sur La Niobe de Pacini " and the "Brilliant fantasies sur the opera Norma by V. Bellini ”by J. Leybach . A very rare and rich program entirely dedicated to a "Catania" composer and the protagonists will be the appreciated Turkish soprano, but for years now Italian also by election, 𝐆𝐎𝐍𝐂𝐀 𝐃𝐎𝐆𝐀𝐍 together with the talented Italian tenor 𝐅𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐏𝐏𝐎 𝐌𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐄, accompanied by the inspiration of 𝐑𝐔𝐁𝐄𝐍 𝐌𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐄𝐋 al piano, star of international concertism. The concert will be introduced by the well-known musicologist from Catania 𝐆𝐈𝐎𝐕𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐈 𝐏𝐀𝐒𝐐𝐔𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐎, director of the music magazine BELLININEWS.
