The Royal Choral Society has performed Handel’s Messiah on Good Friday afternoon at the Royal Albert Hall every year since 1876, except during the Blitz 1940-41 and Covid pandemic 2020-21. This annual concert is one of London’s great Easter traditions and the perfect way to spend Good Friday afternoon. The 2024 performance of Great Britain’s favourite choral work will be conducted by Royal Choral Society Music Director Richard Cooke, and the choir will be accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. A quartet of superb soloists completes the line-up.
