Don Magnifico is in financial trouble. Therefore he wants to marry one of his daughters Tisbe and Clorinda to Prince Don Ramiro. But it is not they who win the young nobleman's heart, but of all things the stepsister Angelina, the Cinderella, who is mocked by them.
