For those looking to enter the realm of opera for the first time, Bohemia is the ideal show: a story of 1830s Paris, of young Bohemian artists and their lifelong friendship, who find joy in the midst of poverty and deprivation.

One of Giacomo Puccini's most popular operas, Bohemia , conquers with its melodic treasury and the art of its ensembles, with the naturalness with which it assimilates the Parisian social picture with its novel characters and the ability with which it hides under the delicacy of its sonorous garments the harshness of the image of the time.

As a conversational work that touches realism, Boema overwhelms with the unmistakable poetry of suffering, but also of the charm of small things, with the mosaic of short-breathed melodies, ideal for the stage and its effects, but also with the string of paintings and moods, which delight without to burden

But last but not least, it is a story about a touching love, without which today we would not have had Mimi and Rodolfo, the arias Che gelida manina , Si, mi chiamano Mimi or their love duet, O soave fanciulla , some of the most famous and appreciated pages in the entire history of the opera.

The story of Bohemia is a simple one and does not involve anything other than a glimpse into the life of young French bohemians, a knowledge of how they treat life and love. Marcello, Rodolfo, Colline and Schaunard - a painter, a poet, a philosopher and a musician - live together in an artists' loft. This is how the story of Bohemia begins , the soul show of those who adore opera, but also of those who seek initiation into one of the most fascinating and spectacular of the artistic worlds...

On Christmas Eve, in their Parisian attic, the poet Rodolfo and the painter Marcello try to forget the hunger and the cold. To light the fire in the fireplace at least for a few moments, Rodolfo sacrifices the manuscript of his last drama. They are joined by the philosopher Colinne, equally discouraged, because for him too, the trip to the pawnshop was in vain. Only the musician Schaunard returns home happy and in good spirits: the only lucky one, he brings money, wine, a basket of goodies and wood for the fire. It's the occasion for friends to spend the evening at Momus, their favorite cafe in the Latin Quarter.

No other Christmas story is like Bohemia's! 

From the height of the room under the roof, where the marginalized artists and intellectuals of the time lead their lives, to the hustle and bustle of the streets of the Latin Quarter, whose scenery does not lack the fascinating world of Parpignol's toys, Puccini surprises with precision and creativity , delights with the charm of small things and immortalizes like no other, the most joyful, rich and exuberant of the world's holidays.

Pentru cei care caută să pătrundă pentru prima oară pe tărâmul operei, Boema este spectacolul ideal: o poveste despre Parisul anilor 1830, despre tineri artiști boemi și prietenia lor de o viață, care găsesc bucuria în mijlocul sărăciei și a neîndestulării.

Una dintre cele mai populare opere ale lui Giacomo Puccini, Boema, cucerește prin tezaurul melodic și arta ansamblurilor ei, prin naturalețea cu care asimilează tabloul social parizian cu personajele lui de roman și abilitatea prin care ascunde sub delicatețea veșmintelor sale sonore asprimea imaginii timpului.

Ca operă de conversație care atinge realismul, Boema copleșește prin inconfundabila poezie a suferinței, dar și a farmecului lucrurilor mărunte, prin mozaicul melodiilor de scurtă respirație, ideale pentru scenă și efectele ei, dar și prin înșiruirea de tablouri și stări sufletești, care încântă fără să împovăreze.

Însă nu în ultimul rând, este o poveste despre o iubire înduioșătoare, fără de care astăzi nu am fi avut parte de Mimi și de Rodolfo, de ariile Che gelida manina, Si, mi chiamano Mimi sau de duetul lor de dragoste, O soave fanciulla, câteva dintre cele mai cunoscute și apreciate pagini din întreaga istorie a operei.

Povestea Boemei este una simplă şi nu presupune altceva decât o privire aruncată în viaţa tinerilor boemi francezi, o cunoaștere a modului în care aceştia tratează viaţa şi iubirea. Marcello, Rodolfo, Colline şi Schaunard - un pictor, un poet, un filosof şi un muzician - locuiesc împreună într-o mansardă a artiştilor. Așa începe povestea Boemei, spectacolul de suflet al celor care adoră opera, dar și al celor care caută inițierea într-una dintre cele mai fascinante și spectaculoase dintre lumile artistice...

În ajunul Crăciunului, în mansarda lor pariziană, poetul Rodolfo și pictorul Marcello încearcă să dea uitarii foamea și frigul. Pentru a aprinde măcar pentru câteva clipe focul în șemineu, Rodolfo își sacrifică manuscrisul ultimei sale drame. Li se alătură filosoful Colinne, la fel de descurajat, pentru că și pentru el, drumul la casa de amanet a fost în zadar. Doar muzicianul Schaunard se întoarce acasă bucuros și bine dispus: singurul norocos, aduce bani, vin, un coș cu bunătăți și lemne pentru foc. Este prilejul ca prietenii să își petreacă  seara la Momus, cafeneaua lor preferată, în Cartierul Latin.

Nicio altă poveste de Crăciun nu se aseamănă cu aceea a Boemei! 

De la  înălțimea  camerei de sub acoperiș, în care își duc viața artiștii și intelectualii marginalizați ai vremii, la forfota și agitația de pe strazile Cartierului Latin, din al căror decor nu lipsește nici fascinanta lume a jucăriilor lui Parpignol, Puccini suprinde prin precizie și creativitate, încântă prin farmecul lucrurilor mărunte  și imortalizează ca nimeni altul, cea mai veselă, bogată și exuberantă dintre sărbătorile lumii.
