Das »Exil« der Staatsoper bzw. Staatskapelle im Schiller Theater geht so langsam seinem Ende entgegen — Zeit und Gelegenheit, diese spezielle Situation zu reflektieren. In einer Abwandlung des bekannten Goethe-Gedichtes »Willkommen und Abschied«, in dem zwei gegensätzliche und doch häufig miteinander verbundene Phänomene in einen direkten Zusammenhang gebracht sind, soll das versucht werden. Im Falle unserer Kammerkonzertreihe liegt der Abschied jedoch vor dem Willkommen, wobei die sprichwörtlichen lachenden und weinenden Augen gleichermaßen mit im Spiel sind, an zehn Terminen im Gläsernen Foyer des Schiller Theaters.

The »exile« of the State Opera and Staatskapelle in the Schiller Theater is slowly coming to an end - time and opportunity to reflect on this special situation. This will be attempted in a modification of the well-known poem by Goethe, "Welcome and Farewell", in which two contradictory and yet frequently connected phenomena are brought into direct connection. In the case of our chamber concert series, however, the farewell comes before the welcome, with the proverbial laughing and crying eyes playing an equal role on ten dates in the glass foyer of the Schiller Theater.
