Clip taken from the Grand Finale of the International Vocal Competition ´s-Hertogenbosch september 2018, were Claire won the Wagner Prize of the Netherlands.

In this aria, the Witch has captured the two children and is conjuring up recipes on how to cook and eat them then ride on her broomstick thought-out the night, then will ride!

Al meer dan 60 jaar heeft ’s-Hertogenbosch met het IVC een internationaal top opera evenement in huis. Meer dan 500 zangers melden zich aan in de hoop om The Voice of Den Bosch te worden. Zangers tussen 18 en 32 worden door de wereldtop (Koninklijk Concertgebouworkest, De Nationale Opera, de Salzburger Festspiele en beroemde zangers) beoordeeld. En door ons publiek. Dit jaar kunt u voor het eerst uw eigen favoriet als finalist kiezen.

Enter a fantastical world full of magic, where fairies and angels appear, and an enchanted forest leads two lost children to a candy house where they must escape from a wicked witch. Composer Engelbert Humperdinck’s fairytale opera, based on the classic story from Brothers Grimm, is perfect for all ages!

Featuring a wonderful cast of rising opera stars along with the Opera Birmingham Chorus, accompanied by the Alabama Symphony Orchestra.

Although originally written in German, this production of Hansel & Gretel will be sung in English! The performance length is approximately two hours with one intermission.
