Nuo gyvenimo ieškojimų pavargęs Faustas svarsto apie savižudybę. Mefistofelis jam pažada patenkinti jo pačius ekstravagantiškiausius, hedonistinius norus ir slapčiausias svajones, jeigu tik Faustas jam parduos savo sielą…

Ch. Gounod operoje susipina meilės, pagundos ir amžinos vidinės kovos tarp Dievo ir velnio temos. Tačiau pagrindinis klausimas išlieka tas pats: ką tu galėtum paaukoti, kad pasiektum savo svajonę?

Tired of life's quest, Faust contemplates suicide. Mephistopheles promises him to satisfy his most extravagant, hedonistic desires and secret dreams, if only Faust will sell him his soul...

Ch. Gounod's opera interweaves themes of love, temptation and the eternal internal struggle between God and the devil. But the main question remains the same: what would you sacrifice to achieve your dream?
