Un’invasione artistica è prevista a Salerno sabato 23 e domenica 24 settembre. Mille flautisti si esibiranno nelle strade e nelle piazze di tutta la città; al Teatro Municipale Giuseppe Verdi concerti, masterclass e premi speciali. E’ questo il Falaut Festival ideato e diretto dal maestro Salvatore Lombardi. Un fine settimana straordinario d’arte, musica, coinvolgimento popolare con mille flautisti impegnati: dai principianti ai più sublimi interpreti ed esecutori.

Il concerto sarà preceduto da due giorni di full immersion nella musica dei flauti. In programma, infatti, nelle giornate del 22 e del 23 settembre materclass, Work shop, corsi pratici per la costruzione dello strumento ai quali potranno partecipare docenti e studenti, concertisti, solisti, professori d’orchestra e addetti ai lavori.  Si darà vita ad una vera e propria “open session del flauto” nella città di Salerno: approfondimenti musicologici, conferenze, dibattiti, seminari, spazi espositivi, flashmob. Molti saranno i concerti e le performances dei più prestigiosi Maestri internazionali, accanto alle giovani promesse del flauto.  
Infine Paolo Totti dirigerà il progetto “Un mare di flauti” un concerto con la più grande orchestra di flauti (circa 1.000 flautisti)

An artistic invasion is planned in Salerno on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th September. A thousand flautists will perform in the streets and squares throughout the city; at the Teatro Municipale Giuseppe Verdi concerts, masterclasses and special prizes. This is the Falaut Festival conceived and directed by maestro Salvatore Lombardi. An extraordinary weekend of art, music, popular involvement with a thousand committed flautists: from beginners to the most sublime interpreters and performers.

Sunday 24 September at 8pm

The concert will be preceded by two days of full immersion in the music of the flutes. In fact, on the days of 22 and 23 September, masterclasses, workshops, practical courses for the construction of the instrument will be scheduled, in which teachers and students, concert performers, soloists, orchestra professors and professionals will be able to participate. A real "flute open session" will be held in the city of Salerno: musicological insights, conferences, debates, seminars, exhibition spaces, flashmobs. There will be many concerts and performances by the most prestigious international masters, alongside the promising young flute players.  
Finally Paolo Totti will direct the project “A sea of ​​flutes” a concert with the largest flute orchestra (around 1,000 flautists)
