"Thomas Dunford's flexible technique, combined with his passion for jazz, allows him to decorate and elaborate the written texts with an improvised abandon, thus throwing a new light on early music... Star of the new “baroque” generation, Thomas Dunford created the Jupiter ensemble in 2018 with which he developed collaborations with the artists he loves. Hence this exciting program around Handel with mezzo Lea Desandre — whose career has exploded since her nomination as “Lyrical Artist Revelation” at the Victoires de la Musique Classique 2017 and who recently shone at the Salzburg Festival in Così fan tutte —, accomplice of the recent CD “Vivaldi” recorded with the Ensemble, and lestyn Davies, partner of Thomas Dunford for the CD “The Art of Melancholy” dedicated to the compositions of John Dowland.
