Deux fameux poèmes symphoniques de Richard Strauss suivent sous la baguette de la cheffe française Ariane Matiakh, laquelle a fréquemment dirigé et enregistré les ouvrages du compositeur.

Burning with passion for Mathilde Wesendonck while working on La Valkyrie , Wagner agreed — and it would be the only time — to compose a Lieder cycle to a text not by him... but by her! These enchanting melodies unmistakably herald Tristan and Isolde . And it is Eugénie Joneau, recently distinguished at the Victoire de la Musique Classique 2022 in the category “Lyrical Artist Revelation”, who lends her voice to this Wagnerian love song. Two famous symphonic poems by Richard Strauss follow under the baton of French conductor Ariane Matiakh, who has frequently conducted and recorded the composer's works.
