Již čtvrtá spolupráce v rámci projektu OAO přinese tentokrát v jednom večeru dvě výjimečná díla z raných období existence opery. Večer započneme v Divadle „12“ Monteverdiho Tancem nevděčnic  zkomponovaným pro svatbu syna vévody z Mantovy. Z chmurného antického námětu, jehož děj se odehrává před bránou podsvětí, skladatel paradoxně vytvořil dílo stojící na rozhraní baletu a opery. Posléze bylo publikováno v jeho Osmé knize madrigalů.

O přestávce se přesuneme do slavnostního sálu Divadla Jiřího Myrona, kde uvedeme druhý titul večera. Dido a Aeneas je nejslavnější operou nejen Henryho Purcella, ale i anglického barokního repertoáru obecně. Skladatel dílo zkomponoval pro dívčí školu, což podmínilo i jeho výsledný komorní tvar. Námětem je tragický příběh lásky královny Kartága Didony a Aenea, trojského prince a bájeslovného zakladatele římského národa. Oba tituly se na naší scéně představí poprvé.


Program večera:

18.15 hodin – dramaturgický úvod k inscenacím v kavárně Národní dům
19 hodin – začátek představení inscenace Tanec nevděčnic v Divadle „12“
19.50 hodin – přestávka – přesun do kavárny Národní dům
20.15 hodin – začátek představení opery Dido a Aeneas v kavárně Národní dům, poté bude následovat společný přesun do slavnostního sálu Táni Hodanové

Already the fourth collaboration within the OAO project, this time it will bring two exceptional works from the early periods of the opera's existence in one evening. We will start the evening in Theater "12" with Monteverdi's Dance of the Ingrateful   , composed for the wedding of the Duke of Mantua's son. Paradoxically, the composer created a work standing on the border between ballet and opera from a gloomy ancient subject, the plot of which takes place in front of the gate of the underworld. It was later published in his Eighth Book of Madrigals.

During the break, we will move to the ceremonial hall of the Jiří Myron Theatre, where we will present the second title of the evening. Dido and Aeneas is the most famous opera not only of Henry Purcell, but also of the English Baroque repertoire in general. The composer composed the work for a girls' school, which conditioned its resulting chamber shape. The theme is the tragic love story of Dido, Queen of Carthage, and Aeneas, the Trojan prince and legendary founder of the Roman nation. Both titles will be presented on our stage for the first time.


Program of the evening:

6:15 p.m. – dramaturgical introduction to the productions in the Národní dům cafe
7 p.m. – start of the performance of the performance Dance of the Ungrateful in the Theater "12"
7:50 p.m. – break – move to the Národní dům cafe
8:15 p.m. – start of the performance of the opera Dido and Aeneas in the Národní dům cafe, after which there will be followed by a joint transfer to the Táni Hodanová ceremonial hall
