Muziektheater Transparant en Theater FroeFroe brengen een muziektheatergedicht vol passie en noodlot, angst en waanzinnige hoop.

Schoon is het meisje als troost voor haar moeder, treurend om de verloren man. Groot wordt de hoop bij de  intrede van een nieuwe held met olifantengeschetter en heldhaftig machozweet. Wreed zijn de goddelijke nymfomanen die hun noodlot opdringen aan de menselijke ziel vol passie. Verscheurend is de keuze voor de held die zijn lot naast de liefde in de weegschaal gooit. Steeds leger wordt de wereld van het kind als niets meer overblijft dan het eigen leven zelf.  Afscheid na afscheid.

Muziektheater Transparant en FroeFroe brengen een muziektheatergedicht vol passie en noodlot, angst en waanzinnige hoop. Het verhaal dat al duizend keer verteld werd, maar toch nooit zal vervelen: de mythe van de droeve koningin Dido. Dit keer gegoten in een muzikale stroom met hier en daar een vleugje Purcell en een stevige scheut Vergilius.

Beautiful is the maiden to comfort her mother, mourning the lost man. Hope grows with the arrival of a new hero with elephant screams and heroic macho sweat. Cruel are the divine nymphomaniacs who impose their fate on the passionate human soul. The choice is devastating for the hero who throws his fate in the balance next to love. The child's world becomes increasingly emptier when nothing remains but its own life itself. Farewell after farewell.

Muziektheater Transparant and FroeFroe bring a music theater poem full of passion and fate, fear and mad hope. The story that has been told a thousand times, but will never get boring: the myth of the sad Queen Dido. This time cast in a musical flow with here and there a touch of Purcell and a strong shot of Virgil.
