On New Year's Eve there is a spectacular fireworks display at 6 p.m. - and a musical one at that! The three countertenors Philipp Mathmann, Valer Sabadus and Terry Wey come to Freiburg and present with our musicians the most breakneck and beguiling opera arias of the Baroque era. Look forward to good-humored singers who are completely absorbed in the works of Handel, Vivaldi, Porpora, Vinci and Hasse! Of course, instrumental works shouldn't be missing, because what kind of concert would this be without majestic overtures, elegant ballets or stormy symphonies?
