Charles Castronovo in a nutshell...
American tenor, born in New York, he is one of the greatest tenors in the world today. He regularly sings on the biggest stages in the world the most emblematic roles of the lyrical tenor repertoire.

He made his debut at the San Francisco Opera, sang a lot of Mozart and the Italian repertoire in the United States. Then he performed in Europe at the Staatsoper in Berlin under the direction of D Barenboim, at the Proms in London, at the Paris Opera, in Hamburg, at the Staatsoper in Vienna, at the Royal Opera House in London, in Genoa, at La Monnaie Brussels, at the Capitole de Toulouse, in Munich, with Natalie Dessay in Aix en Provence, Baden-Baden, Zurich, Salzburg, at La Scala in Bohemia etc… in all the greatest roles of the repertoire. He excels in the French Romantic repertoire (Les Contes d'Hoffmann, Mireille at the Opéra Garnier, Werther in Zürich, Don José in Carmen at the Opéra de Paris, etc.).

He has recorded many discs and DVDs. Tenor in duet in Sonya Yoncheva's latest album, he is releasing a new Verdi album in early 2023.

He will be accompanied by Claire Habbershaw on the piano, and Ysaline Lentze on the harp. A trio between absolute lyricism, passion and delicacy. A great moment of opera.

Ténor américain, né à New York, il est l’un des plus grand ténors mondiaux actuels. Il chante régulièrement sur les plus grandes scènes du monde les rôles les plus emblématiques du répertoire de ténor lyrique.

Il débute à l’Opéra de San Francisco , chante beaucoup Mozart et le répertoire italien aux Etats-Unis. Puis il se produit en Europe au Staatsoper de Berlin sous la direction de D Barenboïm, aux Proms de Londres, à l’Opéra de Paris , à Hambourg, au Staatsoper de Vienne, au Royal Opera House de Londres, à Gênes, à la Monnaie de Bruxelles, au Capitole de Toulouse, à Munich, avec Natalie Dessay à Aix en Provence, Baden-Baden, Zurich, Salzbourg, à la Scala dans la Bohème etc… dans tous les plus grand rôles du répertoire. Il excelle dans le répertoire romantique français (Les Contes d’Hoffmann, Mireille à l’Opéra Garnier, Werther à Zürich, Don José dans Carmen à l’Opéra de Paris…).

Il a enregistré de très nombreux disques et DVD. Ténor en duo dans le dernier disque de Sonya Yoncheva, il sort un nouvel album Verdi début 2023.
