Both titles breathe a European atmosphere: Attila was born on the scenes of an Austro-Hungarian Venice, Secret Marriage sees the light at the Burgtheater in Vienna, where it achieved such great success, as to give birth to the legend that the Emperor had claimed as an encore complete execution of the work. Masterpieces of Italian music, both works come from the prose theater and refer to foreign titles and authors.
