Born in the Italian Tyrol, Andrè Schuen is considered by critics to be the heir of great liederists such as Matthias Goerne or Christian Gerhaher, continuers of the purest tradition of German song. He has a beautiful lyrical baritone voice which he handles with intelligence, in accordance with the style of his favorite composers, among them Schubert and Mahler, with whom he has dazzled in Lied cycles and recitals performed in the prestigious halls of the Wigmore Hall of London or the Konzerthaus in Vienna. In his performance at Les Arts, Schuen plays Die schöne Magelone by Brahms, accompanied on piano by Daniel Heide.

Nascut al Tirol italià, Andrè Schuen està considerat per la crítica com l’hereu de grans liederistes com Matthias Goerne o Christian Gerhaher, continuadors de la tradició més pura de la cançó alemanya. Posseeix una bella veu de baríton líric que maneja amb intel·ligència, acord amb l’estil dels seus compositors predilectes, entre ells Schubert i Mahler, amb els quals ha enlluernat en cicles i recitals de Lied interpretats en sales del prestigi de la Wigmore Hall de Londres o la Konzerthaus de Viena.
